Services
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue provides fire protection and emergency medical services to approximately 491,376 residents in one of the fastest growing regions in Oregon. Our 390-square-mile service area includes the cities of Beaverton, Durham, King City, North Plains, Rivergrove, Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin, West Linn, and Wilsonville, and unincorporated portions of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. TVF&R is a subcontract provider of transport services to AMR in Clackamas County. We also transport patients in Washington County when ambulance levels are low.

Beginning in July 2016, contract services were extended to Newberg and the surrounding area to enhance emergency medical and fire protection services to more people and strengthen regional response efforts. This expansion of services into Yamhill County included the assumption of the Newberg Ambulance Service Area (ASA), which includes all 911 emergency ambulance transports and non-emergent ambulance transports within the ASA.

Facilities
Our district now has 25 fire stations staffed by more than 400 career firefighters, a volunteer fire station, a Command and Business Operations Center, a training facility, a South Operating Center, and full-service fleet maintenance shops that serve TVF&R and many neighboring fire departments.

Citizens served by TVF&R benefit from the services of a large metropolitan fire department, while paying one of the lowest fire-protection tax rates in the region. TVF&R receives almost its entire funding from property taxes. This funding comes through a permanent tax rate and temporary funding sources such as a local option levy and general obligation bond.
